CAIRO – 5 April 2018: AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso will renew his contract with the capital club until June 2021, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is expected that throughout the afternoon of Thursday, the Italian coach will go to Milan’s offices to sign the new contract that will secure his place with Milan for the next three seasons.

Gattuso will receive an increase in his salary; it is expected to be €2 million per year.
Gattuso has revitalized Milan's prospects in finishing among the top four teams in the 2017/ 2018 Serie A after suffering in the first stage under former coach Vincenzo Montella.

Milan CEO Marco Fassone confirmed on Wednesday the intention to renew Gattuso’s contract; he said it before the Milan derby.

AC Milan faced Inter Milan in the Series A, which ended with a goalless draw. This draw will not change the decision of the club.

The 40-year-old has led Milan to 14 wins and five draws in 25 matches. Gattuso’s start with Milan improved their position in the league standings as they are now placed sixth. He led the ‘Rossoneri’ to the 16th round of the UEFA Europa League before suffering an elimination against Arsenal.
