CAIRO – 4 April 2018: AC Milan faces its historical rival, Inter Milan, at San Siro Stadium on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. (CLT) in the 27th week of the Italian Premier League Serie A.

The Milano derby is one of the most exciting and awaited derbies in Europe, as the two teams used to rule the European championships until the recent past, as the last European title that one of them has won was the UEFA Champions League in 2007 by AC Milan. Despite the poor situation experienced by the two teams in the current period, it is an awaited match for a large number of the football fans all around the world.

Inter Milan wants the victory badly, as the team is now fighting for a seat in the forthcoming edition of the Champions League. Inter now is in fourth place with 58 points after the team played 29 matches, while the third on the table is AS Roma with 60 points from 30 matches, and Lazio is in fifth place with 57 points from 30 matches. So if Inter manages to overcome Milan, they will jump to third place, where the team would directly qualify to the Champions League with ease.

The wounded European giant, AC Milan, is suffering from bad results for a while, which may be the worst period of the team’s history, as the winner of seven Champions League titles is now fighting for a seat in the second-class tournament of the European continent, the UEFA Europa League.

The latest confrontation between Milan’s giants ended with AC Milan’s victory with a clean goal scored by Patrick Cutrone in the Italian Cup. Meanwhile, the latest game in the league ended with Inter’s 3-2 victory.

Will Gennaro Gattuso, Milan’s head coach, regain Il Rossoneri’s spirit as when he played for the team, or will Inter Milan’s Argentinean striker, Mauro Icardi, impose the blue color of his team’s shirt on the beautiful city of Milan?
