First mixed darts competition in Egypt to be held in April

CAIRO – 3 April 2018: Egyptian Darts Federation (EDF) announced the first mixed darts competition in Egypt, which will be held in April at Heliopolis Sporting Club.

“Egypt is now capable of organizing the biggest international competitions with the facilities we have. I want to thank the Heliopolis club board for their support in organizing this competition inside the club,” Egyptian Darts Federation President, Yehia Abdel Kader, stated.

The draw is scheduled to be held on Friday, April 6, in the presence of EDF members and the clubs’ representatives.



Abdel Kader added that 160 players are expected to participate in the competition and that the competition will witness a massive battle between clubs, especially Shooting Club, Al-Qanah club, and the Union of Egyptian Universities.







The EDF was established in 2014 as the first federation for darts in the Arab world. The Egyptian Darts Federation joined the International Dart Federation in 2016.

A total of 54 clubs, and more than 760 players, have joined the Egyptian Darts Federation since its establishment.
