CAIRO – 28 March 2018: International Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah revealed his happiness with the national team’s camp in Switzerland.

“It was very important for us to play against two big teams. It was a great experience for all of us,” Salah told ON Sport on Wednesday.

Egypt played two games, against Portugal and Greece. After Egypt led the game against Portugal 1-0 thanks to a goal from Salah, they ended up losing 2-1 in the additional time. Meanwhile they lost 1-0 to Greece.

Salah added, “It was the last camp before the World Cup, and the manager had the chance to watch all the players to decide the official squad for the World Cup.”

Salah has had an amazing season with Liverpool. He scored 36 goals with the club in all competitions, including 28 goals in the Premier League to be its top goal scorer.

Salah concluded the interview, saying, “We will do everything we can in the World Cup to make the fans happy.”

Salah returned to England to join his club’s preparations for the Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Salah led Egypt’s national team to qualify for the World Cup, ending 28 years of absence, as the national team last played in the World Cup in 1990 in Italy. Salah scored five of the team’s seven goals.
