New York - 25 March 2018: Bradley Wright-Phillips scored two goals as the New York Red Bulls blanked Minnesota United 3-0 on Saturday night in Harrison, N.J.

Wright-Phillips scored in the 42nd and 78th minutes as the Red Bulls posted their second straight home shutout, two weeks after rolling to a 4-0 victory over Portland.

Wright-Phillips didn't start two weeks ago when he scored his first goal of the season and his two goals increased his career regular-season total to 89 since joining MLS with the Red Bulls in 2013.

Including New York's wins in the CONCACAF Champions League, Wright-Phillips has six goals this season.

Alex Muyl added a goal and set up Wright-Phillips' second goal as New York improved to 6-0-4 in its last 10 home games going back to last season. New York also blanked Minnesota for the second time in as many all-time meetings after getting a 3-0 road win against Minnesota last July.

Luis Robles made four saves for the Red Bulls. He recorded his second shutout of the season and 51st career in the regular-season.

Matthew Lampson made six saves for Minnesota, which was denied consecutive wins after beating the Chicago Fire 2-1 last Saturday.

The Red Bulls took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute thanks to some nifty footwork from Muyl. After absorbing some contact from Ibson, he maintained his balance while eluding Marc Burch and used his left foot to beat Lampson to the far post.

New York took a 2-0 lead in the 42nd minute when Wright-Phillips used his left foot to deflect a header into the net while standing with his back to the net. Wright-Phillips then extended the lead to 3-0 by finishing off a breakaway after cleanly handling Muyl's long pass.
