Egyptian and Arab fans in the Swiss capital Zurich have begun to flock to Letzigrund Stadium, as it is set to host the clash between Egypt and Portugal.

Egypt starts its preparations for the 2018 World Cup with a game against Portugal on Friday night at 9:45 p.m. (CLT).

Letzigrund Stadium has 26,000 seats; the tickets ran out on Thursday night, as the Egyptian and Arab fans in Switzerland, alongside the European fans, are keen to watch the clash between Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cuper held more than one session with the players before Portugal’s friendly game. The sessions have witnessed the Pharaohs' plan in the match against Portugal in preparation for the World Cup, after watching more than one video of the opposing team.

Cuper will count on the same tactics that led Egypt to qualify to the World Cup despite facing 2016 EURO Champions, Portugal, and their biggest star, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Egyptian kick-off in the World Cup will be against Uruguay on June 15. This kick-off has been awaited by Egyptian fans for 28 years.

Egypt then plays against the host, Russia, on June 19 before facing Saudi Arabia on June 25 in the last game of Group A.
