CAIRO - 2 MAY 2017: Al-Ahly SC coach Hossam Al Badry suspended for two matches and ordered to pay 10,000 EGP fine for opposing referee Mahmoud Ashour decisions and looking to him inappropriately in Al-Ahly and El-Entag el-Harby match, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) competition committee announced on Tuesday.

The committee also decided to suspend Al-Ahly’s midfielder Hossam Ashour for four matches and fining him 5,000 EGP for insulting the referee in the match held on Sunday, as well as suspending coach’s assistant Sayed Moawad and fining him 10,000 EGP for pushing the referee right after the match has ended.

Badry was sent off to watch the game from the stands for the first time after the referee Mahmoud Ashour showed Badry a red card for opposing his decision.

In another incident, Hossam Ashour was given a red card after he shook the referee’s hand aggressively and pushing him, in a way that the latter considered as misconduct from the player. Surprisingly, Ashour’s red card came after the match came to an end.

EFA announced further decisions according to the reports of referees and observers including banning El-Entag el-Harby’s coach, Mohamed Abdullah for opposing Ashour’s decisions and fining El-Entag el-Harby club 5,000 EGP for the interception of the game.
