CAIRO – 2 May 2017: Hani Abou Rida, the Egyptian Football Association’s vice president and a member of FIFA's Executive Board, will run in FIFA’s Free Seat elections to represent Africa, alongside other candidates.

Egyptian Football Association (EFA) members Seif Zaher, Ahmed Megahed and Khaled Abdel Latif are flying to Bahrain’s capital, Manama, on May 7 to back Abu Rida in the May 8 elections.

The other African candidates include Leodegar Tenga from the Confederation of Tanzania Fédération, Namibia Football Association President Frans Mbidi and Mauritius Football Association President Sohba Mohammad Ally Samir.
