CAIRO – 16 March 2018: Al-Ahly won the Women's African Volleyball Championship title by defeating Tunisia’s CF de Carthage on Thursday night with a 3-0 victory in the final match at the Abdulla Al Faysal Halls.



Al-Ahly achieved their ninth title when they thrashed the Tunisian side with three sets (25/9), (29/27) and (25/8). The Tunisian title holders, CF de Carthage, reached the final after defeating Kenya’s Prisons 3-1.

The final was attended by Al-Ahly President Mahmoud Al-Khatib and members of the Board of Directors, as well as officials of the Egyptian and African Volleyball Federation.

Al-Ahly reached the final after defeating Kenya’s Pipeline 3-1 on Tuesday night.

Al-Ahly had an amazing run in the competition, as they reached the final without losing a single game and only lost one set in the whole tournament, against Pipeline in the semi-finals.
