CAIRO – 1 May 2017: Al-Ahly and El-Entag el-Harby Premier League clash ended in a 1-1 draw in a game that saw a number of off-the-wall scenes at Al-Salam Stadium on Sunday.

Al-Ahly coach Hossam el-Badry was sent off to watch the game from the stands for the first time after the referee Mahmoud Ashour showed Badry a red card for opposing Ashour’s decisions and inappropriately looking down on him.

In another incident, Al-Ahly’s midfielder Hossam Ashour was given a red card after he shook the referee’s hand aggressively, in a way that the latter considered as misconduct from the player. Surprisingly, Ashour’s red card came after the match came to an end.

Al-Ahly currently sits at the league’s top spot, while El-Entag el-Harby lies in the 14th place.
