CAIRO – 14 March 2018: CF de Carthage reached the Women's African Volleyball final for the second consecutive time after defeating Kenya’s Prisons 3-1 on Tuesday.

CF de Carthage is having a great run in the tournament, as they never lost a game during their route to the final.

Carthage opened their participation with a North African derby game against Algeria’s Chlef. They defeated Chlef 3-0 to start their unbeaten run.

They defeated Zimbabwe’s Harare, Botswana’s BDF 6 and Cameroon’s Bafia to reach the quarter-finals on top of their group.

Carthage faced Egypt’s El-Shams in the quarter-finals, which was a repeat of the last year’s final, which ended with Carthage’s victory.

El-Shams players wanted to take their revenge from the Tunisian players, but Carthage managed to win the game 3-1 and reach the semi-finals.

Carthage faced the five-time champions, Kenya’s Prisons, and defeated them 3-1 to reach the final.
The Tunisian club’s dream to defend their title will face a tough obstacle when they meet the hosts, Al-Ahly, in front of their fans at the final.

Both teams met each other in the final in 2016 in Carthage, and Al-Ahly players managed to win the game 3-2 and achieve the title.

Al-Ahly has a record eight titles in the competition, while their Tunisian opponents have achieved only one title.
