CAIRO – 11 March 2018: Egyptian Professional Clubs Association (PCA), headed by Mahmoud El-Shamy, plans to develop a new Egyptian tournament called the “President Cup”.

Ismail Selim, PCA member, revealed, through Al-Hadaf radio program, that: “PCA developed the ‘President Cup’ tournament to increase the 18 clubs’ income.”

“We are now managing the tournament’s system and schedules to avoid interference between it and other Egyptian tournaments. It may be held between the two Egyptian seasons,” Former Zamalek board member added.

“PCA insists on the fans’ attendance to the matches; any tournament without fans is meaningless,” Selim concluded.

EFA organizes three football Egyptian tournaments throughout the season; Egyptian Premier League, Egypt Cup and Egyptian Super Cup.
