CAIRO – 7 March 2018: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed on Wednesday that Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal will miss the Europa League game against Italy’s AC Milan on Thursday.

“Bellerin had a scan yesterday which showed inflammation, and he tried but couldn’t absorb the training session, so we left him at home. Lacazette is not ready and we had to leave Monreal behind as well,” Wenger told press on Wednesday.

Arsenal hopes to overcome their setback in the Premier League by achieving a victory over Milan.

Wenger spoke about the Milan game’s significance for the team, saying, “This is an opportunity for us we have to take. It increases the pressure for sure. I think as well it is a good opportunity. You want to show you have the quality and the strength, and you can only show that when it is difficult.”

Arsenal have lost their last five games in all competitions and they are placing sixth in the league table with 13 points away from Champions League qualification.
