CAIRO – 26 February 2018: Former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry revealed on Monday that Manchester City will have a bright future after their development this season under their manager, Pep Guardiola.

“When people say the future looks bright, that's what I would say about Man City. They do have money, they do have a good manager, it looks like they're going to win almost everything this year,” Henry told Sky Sports.

Manchester City have achieved their first title this season on Sunday defeating Arsenal 3-0 in the Carabao Cup final. They are currently leading the Premier League, 13 points ahead of the second placed Manchester United and they still have a game against Arsenal on Thursday.

Henry praised Guardiola, saying: “His philosophy is amazing, his identity is amazing, we've never seen that before.”

Henry played two seasons under Pep Guardiola's command between 2009 and 2011 in Barcelona.

Henry added, “last year they didn't win anything and people were having a go at them, about the philosophy of Pep and his identity and how he likes to play football. This year suddenly he's again the best manager in the world.”
