CAIRO – 26 February 2018: Paris Saint Germain destroyed their rivals, Olympique de Marseille 3-0 on Sunday night at the game known as “French classico” in Parc des Princes, Paris.
PSG fans’ joy with the victory was overshadowed by the injury of their Brazilian winger, Neymar Jr 15 minutes before the final whistle.

PSG opened the score after 10 minutes from the start by their French winger, Kylian Mbappe who dribbled two defenders from Marseille to make the score 1-0.

Marseille defender, Rolando da Fonseca scored an own goal 15 minutes later to make the score 2-0.

Marseille had a chance to score their first goal through their captain, Dimitri Payet but his shots missed the target to end the first half 2-0.

PSG scored the third goal 10 minutes after the half time through their striker, Edinson Cavani who received a cross from Neymar to secure his club’s victory in the derby.

PSG fans were happy with the great result that brought confidence back to the players who will host Real Madrid after nine days in the UEFA Champions League until Neymar stretchered off and he failed to continue the game.

The Brazilian left the pitch crying to increase the doubt about his ability to play with his team against Real Madrid on Tuesday March 6.

PSG manager, Unai Emery was optimistic about Neymar’s injury; he told press “first tests in the dressing room show he has a sprained ankle. We will conduct other test to be more precise. If I have to make a guess about [his availability for] Real Madrid tonight, I'd say he would be present."

PSG fans depend on Neymar to lead the team to a historic comeback against Real Madrid and qualify to the quarter finals after a 3-1 loss at the first leg in Madrid.
