CAIRO – 11 February 2018: Alexis Sánchez has been, without doubt, the biggest 'bombshell' of the winter transfer market. The swap between Arsenal and Manchester United ended with the Chilean striker under Jose Mourinho of Manchester and the Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the ranks of Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger.

Alexis hit the ground running in Manchester with a goal in one his first games. He analyzed his recent arrival at the Red Devils in an interview for Sky Sports: "I think that Manchester United, since I was young - and I'm not just saying this because I'm here, I'm an honest guy and I never lie - I think it's the biggest club in England. That's what I think.”

Despite his departure, Alexis fondly remembered Arsenal: "There are lots of big clubs, and having played for Arsenal, they are also one of them. It's a huge club and I was there.”
"But coming here, looking at the badge, I think United have to win everything because it's such a big club. The club crest says it all."

Finally, the Chilean explained the reasons for his transfer: "I came here to win [things]. I left Arsenal because I wanted to develop and learn as a player, and get to experience a new club.”
"Manchester United are a huge club on the global stage. I came here to win everything. Otherwise I wouldn't have come here."

United’s only hopes for silverware this season are in the FA Cup (still to start for the Red Devils) and the Champions League as the only titles they have a chance of winning.

For the Champions League, their first hurdle will be Sevilla in the round of 16. In the Carabao Cup, Manchester United was eliminated by Bristol in the quarterfinals and in league they are 13 points behind their neighbor and the leader Manchester City.
