CAIRO – 5 February: Salah scored two goals on Sunday night at Anfield to secure his team’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League.
Salah had a great impact on the game and proved again that he is a world class player who shines in the big games and makes an impact at the most important moments.

Salah’s two goals made him the fastest Liverpool player ever to reach 21 goals in the League, having done so after only 25 games.

Liverpool former defender and Sky Sports pundit, Jamie Carragher was impressed with Salah’s impact on Liverpool, saying “He's got 21 goals now and you've got to remember he's not even a centre forward. He's a winger, really, who cuts in.”

After reaching 21 goals, Salah is only one goal behind the Premier League top goal scorer, Tottenham’s Harry Kane who scored one out of his two penalty opportunities in the game.

BBC Match of the Day presenter, Gary Lineker hailed Salah after his 20th goal in the League this season, he tweeted: “20 Premier League goals for Salah. What a signing he’s been.”

Salah dribbled passed three Spurs defenders only two minutes before the final whistle and scored Liverpool’s second goal in the game, to which Lineker responded, ”Salah really pushing De Bruyne for footballer of the year.”

Because of Salah’s goal, Carragher compared the Egyptian’s technique to Lionel Messi, he told Sky Sports after the game “The only man who can score that goal is Lionel Messi, If you think of Messi and the types of goals he scores, that's what he does in tight areas, dinking the keeper. To say that about any player, sometimes you have to be careful it doesn't get thrown back at you but what else can you say when he produces a goal like that?”

Salah’s two goals pushed his total Premier League goals up to 23, making him the highest Egyptian scorer in the Premier League, surpassing Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam, who scored 22.
