CAIRO – 20 April 2017: Zamalek club’s board members are planning to submit a complaint to the FIFA regarding the dispute involving Zamalek and Misr el-Makassa postponed game, in defiance to the Egyptian Football Association’s (EFA) announcement of Makassa’s victory after Zamalek missed the match.

Zamalek did not show up in the match on Sunday 15 April and consequently was subjected to sanctions by the EFA, including a fine of EGP 200,000 and a loss of three A-League competition points.

Zamalek’s chairman Mortada Mansour announced the team’s withdrawal from the match postponed by the EFA, which said that the delay came on the back of a request from security agencies.
