CAIRO – 19 April 2017: Spain’s Real Madrid strode towards the EFA Champions’ league semi-finals after inflicting Bayren Munich a controversial loss 4-2 in the second leg, 6-3 on aggregate.

The Champions League quarter finals tie between Spain’s Royal Whites and Germany’s league leader Bayren Munich was clouded in controversy amid serious concerns over the integrity of Christiano Ronaldo’s third and fourth goals.

“Referee wasn’t up to task”, said Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti in a post-match press conference.

Ronaldo's third and fourth goals are believed to be netted from an offside position, making him the top scoring real Madrid player against Bayren.

“We planned and played a very good match and I think we deserved more. The referee’s decision affected us a lot honestly, because Arturo's card was not a card and then the two goals of Christiano were offside,” Ancelotti said. He added that he was not happy with the results and that there were “too many mistakes”.

The referee has reportedly sent the former Juventus player Arturo Vidal undeservedly off the game after showing him the red card, along with other blatant fouls for both sides that went unnoticed.
