CAIRO – 11 January 2018: FC Barcelona has officially announced the signing of Colombian defender Yerry Mina for the next five seasons.

Palmeiras announced the agreement with Barcelona on Thursday to transfer their central defender Yerry Mina through an official statement.

Barcelona also officiated the signing of the first Colombian player in the history of Barcelona.

In its official statement, FC Barcelona reports that it has reached a transfer agreement with Palmeiras for €11.8 million. Yerry Mina will sign a contract with Barça for the remainder of this season and five more seasons, until June 30, 2023.

It is also reported that the termination clause of the Colombian defender’s contract will be €100 million.

Yerry Mina is already on his way to Barcelona in order to pass the medical review and be officially presented as a new player of Barcelona.

Barcelona has not yet announced the agenda of the events in which Yerry Mina will participate.
