CAIRO – 8 January 2018: Zamalek hosts Al-Ahly Monday at the top match of the Egyptian Premier League in the 17th round at Cairo International stadium at 7 p.m.

Al-Ahly, which occupies the second place with 36 points after 15 played matches, is the closest by the statistics to win the 115th match against Zamalek, which occupies now the fourth place of the standing table with 28 points.

Zamalek will enter the game with a new coach, Ehab Galal, who signed his contract with Zamalek on Saturday, after the team sacked Jovovic Nebosja because of Zamalek's loss against Talaea Al-Gaish and the poor performance of the team during the Premier League.

The last game between the two teams ended with Al-Ahly’s victory 2-0, the two goals were scored by Junior Ajayi and Walid Solaiman, meanwhile the last victory for Zamalek was at the 2016 Super Cup, where the original time of the match ended with a 0-0 draw then Zamalek managed to obtain a 3-1 victory from the penalty shootouts.
