CAIRO – 5 January 2018: The last comments of Liverpool's coach Jürgen Klopp confirmed that the departure of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool is more than a real option.

Jürgen Klopp avoided giving rise to speculation and refused to comment on his view on the situation; he did not rule out any scenario.

"Everything I can say now is going to create more stories, so I prefer not to say anything," Klopp said to the press before Everton's game in the English FA Cup.

His response, however, is far from the forceful one with which he denied the departure of Coutinho last summer.

"We are in the transfer market, that is all," Klopp added.

Liverpool and Barcelona have initiated contact to ink the deal. For now, the possibilities are much greater than they were in the summer.

Pending the evolvement of the negotiations, Jürgen Klopp opted for discretion to protect his own view, “Nothing I can say would help me, the player or the club.”
