CAIRO – 29 December 2017: Belgian midfielder Yannick Carrasco could leave Atlético Madrid in the winter market. Diego Simeone has given the green light to his exit according to the Spanish newspaper AS.

The sports management of the ‘rojiblanco’ team consulted the Argentinean coach before the Christmas break and his response was affirmative.

For his part, there is no impediment to the departure of the Belgian who is in the list of transferable players with Vietto and Gaitán. These players are not really included in the coach’s plans.

Simeone prefers to keep everything as it is in his squad despite Italian bids from Napoli and Juventus for the Croatian defender Vrasljko.

Apart from the fact that he has barely lined up in the last few games, Carrasco is a problem for the dressing room, where he has had more than words with Koke and Gabi in recent months.

The arrival of Vítolo and Diego Costa has also had its influence, because with them Simeone will have new players who can right the imbalance that Carrasco has caused so far.

Bayern Munich may be among the interested clubs, a club that in the past already tried to sign him.
