Football’s Arab Club Championship to start July 21 in Cairo

CAIRO – 9 April 2017: The Arab Club Championship will be held in Egypt from July 21 to August 5, according to the organizing committee, Super Koora reported Sunday.

The competition will witness the participation of 12 Arab club teams, including Cairo’s giants Al-Ahly and Al-Zamalek, and will be divided into 21 matches.

The committee set July 9 as the deadline to receive the final lists of the participating teams, confirming that Cairo, Air Defense and Borg el Arab stadiums to be the official venues of the tournament.

The committee also set up two labs for doping checks. One is Swiss and the other is Qatari.

The participating teams are scheduled to arrive in Cairo 48 hours before the completion kick-off, the statement added.
