CAIRO – 26 December 2017: Brighton and Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton hopes to sign Celtic French striker, Moussa Dembele.

“He's a very good player who has had a very good season. He is not our player; he just happens to be one of probably 100 names you could mention that I probably would want,” Hughton told Sky Sports ahead of their visit to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea on Tuesday.

Dembele, 21, was born in France to a Malian family and started his journey with football at Paris Saint Germain academy. He then left the club when he was 16 to join Fulham.

Dembele earned his debut with Fulham’s first team a year later and represented the club in 69 appearances, scoring 19 goals, according to WhoScored.com.

Dembele joined Celtic in 2016 and scored 32 goals in 49 appearances during his first season with the club. Dembele has scored 8 goals in 19 appearances with Celtic this season and he is one of the most promising talents in Europe.
