CAIRO – 23 December 2017: Olympic champion Mohamed Ihab achieved four gold medals in the 77 kilogram weightlifting competition in the Arab Weightlifting Championships hosted by Egypt.

Ihab also managed to harvest the Afro-Asian gold medal, the adult phase of which is hosted in Egypt.

Ihab has been nominated as the best Arab weightlifter in 2017.

The Afro-Asian & Arab Weightlifting Championships took place between Wednesday, December 20, and Friday, December 22, at the Cairo International Stadium.

In addition to Egypt, ten other countries participated in the championships. Those countries are Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates.

The Egyptian weightlifter, and National Team player, Mohamed Ihab, won three gold medals Saturday in the 77 kilogram bodyweight category at the Weight Lifting World Championship held in the United States.
