CAIRO – 22 December 2017: Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, revealed on Friday that he has a great relationship with his Senegalese teammate, Sadio Mane.

“We are friends; we are very close to each other. Maybe he is my closest friend here in the team. He's a great guy and a fantastic player who is very fast with quality and confidence,” Salah told Sky Sports on Friday.

Salah and Mane are nominated for CAF Player of the Year, alongside Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Salah and Mane have formed a destructive force on Liverpool’s attacking line this season, alongside their Brazilian teammates, Roberto Firmino and Philipe Coutinho.

Salah, 25, spoke about his ambitions with the club, saying, “I came here to win titles for the club, for us and for the fans. I would love to win something here. We are working hard every day to win something and I am sure we will this year.”

Salah has had an amazing season with Liverpool, scoring 19 goals for his team, including 14 goals in the Premier League to be the league’s top goal scorer.
