CAIRO – 21 December: Al-Ahly club continued its dominance over the traditional rival Zamalek.

Al-Ahly beat Zamalek in the monthly ranking of the website “football database”, which monitors the ranking of clubs around the world and in all competitions continental and local.

Al-Ahly came in 85th position in the world and the second in Africa with 1,614 points behind Esperance of Tunisia, which occupies the top of the continent's clubs with 1,630 points. It is ranked in the 70th place in the world. TP Mazembe came in third place in Africa with 1,563 points, while Sudanese Marikh came in fifth place.

Zamalek came in 324th place in the world, 17th place in Africa with 1,481 points, while Ismaily came directly behind the white castle with the same number of points.

Al-Masry occupied the 25th place with 1,440 points.
