CAIRO – 18 December 2017: Barcelona star Lionel Messi continues to win individual awards as the Argentinean won two prizes at the Marca Awards in Madrid on Monday night.

Messi received the Pichichi award from the Marca newspaper as La Liga's top scorer for the 2016/17 season, minutes after he received Di Stefano award as the best player in La Liga for the same season.

HE won La Liga top scorer Pichichi for the fourth time in his career, closer to Telmo Zarra, the most award-winning player throughout history on 6 occasions.

This is the fifth time that Messi wins the Alfredo Di Stefano Award as the best player in La Liga, as the most player crowned the award, which reached the 10th edition.

Messi played for Barcelona in 34 league games last season, scoring 37 goals and assisting 12 more.
