CAIRO – 15 December 2017: Gremio attacking midfielder Luan Guilherme believes that the FIFA Club World Cup final against Real Madrid is a great opportunity for him and his teammates to show their quality to the world.

“The whole world’s going to be watching the game and it’s going to be a huge privilege for all of us. We want to give our all and try and lift this trophy,” Luan, who won the Olympic Medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games with Brazil, told press on Friday.

Gremio fans hope Luan and his companion Lucas Barrios will break Real Madrid’s defense.

Gremio qualified for the final by defeating Mexico’s Pachuca 1-0 in the tournament’s semi-final on Tuesday, December 12.

Luan revealed that he is happy to see Gremio fans supporting the team from the stands, saying, “It shows they believe in us. They wouldn’t have come all this way if they didn’t. We have to repay their faith on the pitch now, and we have to run and show our commitment. The result depends on the effort we put in. We’re very happy they’ve come so far to be with us.”

Real Madrid faces Brazil’s Gremio on Saturday in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
