CAIRO – 15 December 2017: Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane showed his admiration on Friday for Liverpool’s Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, after his amazing performance with his club this season.

“He's a great player – first at Roma and now at Liverpool. He's an important footballer and he's growing more and more. He's young and I appreciate him a lot," Zidane told press on Friday.

Salah, 25, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the next summer after shining this season with Liverpool. He is the Premier League’s top goal scorer with 13 goals.

Salah could be a great addition to Zidane’s squad and form a destructive attacking line with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Egyptian national team manager Hector Cuper was the first to confirm the rumors earlier, saying, “I have received confirmed news that Real Madrid are interested in signing Salah."

Salah won BBC’s African Player of the Year award, and he is also shortlisted for the CAF African Player of the Year award.
