CAIRO – 9 December 2017: Mohamed Adel Fathy, member of the board of directors of the Al-Mokawlon Club will hold an important meeting on Monday with Roland Heri, the sports coordinator of the Swiss club Basel.

The board of directors of Al-Mokawlon club assigned Adel Fathy to represent the club in Switzerland.

Al-Mokawlon club arranged this meeting to strengthen cooperation with the Swiss club after the great experience of Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny, both former Al-Mokawlon players.

Mohamed Salah moved to Basel from Al-Mokawlon in 2013 while Mohamed Elneny played for Basel in 2014.

The Swiss club is following a number of talented players in the youth sector and the first team. The meeting will include consultation on a twinning contract with the Swiss club and the possibility of Basel arranging their training camps in Egypt.

Adel Fathy pointed out that discussions with Basel’s officials have been going on for some time and there are opportunities for some players to join the Basel team.
