CAIRO – 8 December 2017: Zamalek defeated Haras Al Hedoud 3-0 on Thursday night in the Egypt Cup round of 16. Zamalek players reconciled their fans disappointment after poor results in the league.

Zamalek fans put all their hopes on their Congolese striker, Kabongo Kasongo, who opened the scoring after 18 minutes. Kasongo turned a cross from Ahmed Madboli into Al Hedoud’s net.

Haras Al Hedoud created many chances to equalize but Zamalek goalkeeper, Ahmed el-Shenawi, saved all their attempts.

Zamalek doubled the score three minutes before the half-time whistle through a penalty from Moayad al-Ajan to end the first half 2-0.

Al Hedoud entered the second half with a desire to score a goal and their striker, Ahmed Gamal, was about to score but el-Shenawi, again, came to Zamalek’s rescue.

Mohamed Ibrahim gained a third goal for Zamalek 15 minutes before the final whistle to close the game out. Haras Al Hedoud players failed to score a reconciliation goal and the game ended 3-0.
