Modric reaches 150 league matches with Real Madrid

CAIRO – 4 December 2017: Luka Modric reached 150 games in La Liga with the white team in San Mamés against Athletic Club.

The Croatian midfielder faces his sixth season at the club and has achieved 107 victories in this competition and scored eight goals.

Of those 150 league matches, Modric has played 74 in the Santiago Bernabéu and 76 away from the madridista stadium. The season in which most League games played was in 2013-14 with a total of 34. In the past season he participated in 25 matches, while in 2015-16, in 32. In 2014-15 he played 16 and in the 2012-2013, 33. This season he has played 10 matches, which has added five victories.

Modric played an important role this year in Ziendine Zidane’s squad and formed a great partnership with his team mates Carlos Henrique Casemiro and Toni Kroos in the midfield.

Modric’s performance earned him the best Croatian player of the year award, voted on by Croatian players and coaches.
