CAIRO – 27 November 2017: Justin Kluivert, Ajax striker and son of former Dutch player Patrick Kluivert, scored his first hat-trick in the Eredivisie (Dutch League) on Sunday in the 5-1 victory of his team over Roda KC Kerkrade.

Justin Kluivert, 18-years-old, scored three of the five goals for Ajax. Roda will stay in second place with 28 points in 13 games, eight points behind the leader PSV Eindhoven.

This is the first hat-trick for Justin Kluivert as a professional footballer and surprisingly his first three goals of the season with Ajax in nine games.

The feat that Kluivert’s son achieved on Sunday shows that he exceeds his father, former player of Ajax and PSV, who despite his scoring ability never managed to score a hat-trick in the Dutch League.

Patrick Kluivert played for three seasons in the first Ajax team, between 1994-95 and 1996-97, and he also played for PSV Eindhoven in the 2006/07 season. He previously played for Milan, FC Barcelona, Newcastle, and Valencia. However, he never scored in the 1995 European Champions.
In fact, Patrick Kluivert, who retired at Lille during the 2007/08 season, only scored six hat-tricks in his career; four as a player of FC Barcelona and two with the Dutch national team.
