CAIRO – 16 November: Executive Director of the National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) Osama Ghoneim, confirmed that the Egyptian laboratory is on the right track for the formal accreditation by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). One of the last steps of the Egyptian laboratory’s international accreditation is currently underway, he explained

A WADA delegation will visit the Egyptian laboratory on November 23, followed by three shipments of twenty urine samples to the prior. Following this stage, 10 samples will be analyzed in the presence of a WADA delegation to grant approval for the work internationally, according to Super Kora.

Ghoneim added that the Customs Authority has cooperated significantly to eliminate any delays of the samples in customs. The approval procedure previously took 4 hours.
