CAIRO – 11 November 2017: The Tunisian and Moroccan national teams are looking to decide their qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia on Saturday. They meet Libya and Cote d`ivoire, respectively, in the last round of the African qualifiers to the World Cup.

Both teams hope to catch Egypt and Saudi Arabia, who already qualified to the World Cup, and to achieve a new record for Arabian participation in the World Cup.

Since the start of the World Cup in 1930 in Uruguay, there have been no more than three Arab teams in the tournament at one time. In 1986 in Mexico, there was Algeria, Morocco and Iraq. While in 1998 in France, Morocco, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia played.
Tunisia hosts Libya in Rades Stadium at 07:30 p.m. (Cairo local time). With 13 points, Tunisia tops Group A, three points ahead of DR Congo.

The Carthage Eagles may need only one point against Libya to guarantee a place in 2018 World Cup.Tunisia had an impressive run of form, as Nabil Maaloul, Tunisia`s coach, led his team to four wins and one draw from their five matches so far.

Youssef Msakni, Tunisia attacker, has warned his teammates before the important clash. “We’re not afraid of Libya, but we have to be wary, because they have a history, and it’s never easy to play against them,” the Tunisia forward said to reporters.
“This match is a matter of life and death for the Tunisian team. We’ll need to be well-prepared and focused right from kick-off,” he added.
