CAIRO - 5 November 2017: Minister of Youth and Sports, Khaled Abdel Aziz, met with the Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovičić to discuss means of enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Serbia on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El-Sheikh from November 4 to 10 under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

The meeting was attended by the Serbian deputy minister of youth, and Serbian ambassador to Egypt Dragan Bisenic.

Udovičić expressed his desire to deepen cooperation between Egypt and Serbia by signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries on a range of activities targeting youth.

The Serbian minister asked for a friendly football match between Egypt and Serbia as part of their preparations for the World Cup, in addition to a friendly match between the two handball teams. He also called for joint programs to exchange experiences between the Serbian coaches and their Egyptian counterparts in various fields.

Abdel Aziz said he will coordinate with the Egyptian Football Association to study the possibility of arranging a friendly match with Serbia. He called for the hosting of Serbian players from different sports to train in Egypt.
