CAIRO – 4 November 2017: Amr Gamal spoke about Bidvest Wits and the South African Premier League, and the difference between it and when he was playing with Al-Ahly in Egypt.

“Playing in South Africa is different than playing in the Egyptian Premier League. Games are more open here, and there is more concentration on attacking and offense, which is always better for strikers,” Gamal explained to Super Sport TV channel.

The young striker said, “With Al-Ahly, you can win almost all games in the league, because Al-Ahly is a strong team; but here, any team could win any match, which makes the league more interesting to me.”

Gamal said about the African Champions League final, “I cannot predict who will win, but I definitely wish my former club wins the title.”

He joined Bidvest in a loan transfer from Al-Ahly for a full season in the summer transfer market. The player then travelled to South Africa after he had helped Al-Ahly achieve the Egyptian Cup title after he entered the game as a substitute and scored the equalizing goal for his team in the 117th minute of the game, after his teammate Ahmed Fathy scored the second goal in the 123rd minute.
