CAIRO – 31 October 2017: West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis praised Egypt’s Ahmed Hegazi after their 3 -2 loss to Manchester City.

The result left the Baggies in 15th place with 10 points as they failed to win eight games. They face Huddersfield on November 4.

Despite the defeat, Pulis praised Hegazi for putting in a strong performance. He said that the 26-year-old defender showed that he had the qualities of fine players in that particular encounter.

“Ahmed at the back showed signs of what a good player he is as well,” the 59-year-old coach told BBC after the game.

While affirming that Man City is a better side and that they have been rampant this season, Pulis said he was disappointed by the loss.

“There’s lots of pluses. We’re disappointed we’ve lost the game but put it in perspective they’re a good side,” the Welsh manager added.
