CAIRO – 28 October 2017: England returned from a 0-2 defeat against Spain in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup final to win the game 5-2, achieving the title for the first time in history.

Spain started the game well, dominating the first half and managing to score the first goal by Sergio Gomez after 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later, Gomez scored his second goal in the game.

Rhian Brewster gave English fans hope when he scored England’s first goal a minute before the end of the first half.

The second half was different, as England dominated it from the start. England equalized the score in the 58th minute with a goal by Morgan Gibbs-White.

Phil Foden scored England’s third goal in the 70th minute, before Marc Guehi scored England’s fourth goal in the 86th minute.

Foden scored his second goal in the game, and England’s fifth goal, only a minute before the final whistle, ending the game 5-2.
