CAIRO – 24 October 2017: The Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry was fined $50,000 by the National Basketball Association (NBA) for throwing his teeth guard at a referee in a match against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

Curry’s action came in response to a foul that the referee didn’t count in Curry’s favor, only 43.6 seconds before the end of the game which ended with the Warriors’ defeat 101-111.

Curry and his teammate Kevin Durant left the pitch after opposing the referees over the incident, but Durant was not fined. "It's the third game and we're playing very badly, I was frustrated because I thought I had a foul. I definitely overreacted,” Curry said to ESPN.

This is the second time Curry has been punished for throwing a teeth guard. He was fined $25,000 for throwing his teeth guard at the crowd and attacking a fan in the sixth game of the 2016 NBA final.
