CAIRO – 20 October 2017: Diego Armando Maradona, Argentina`s legend, praised the Egyptian player and Liverpool`s midfielder Mohamed Salah, calling him a very smart player.

Maradona appeared in a video on ‘ON Sport’ channel, stating “Mohamed Salah is a very fast and smart player, he is able to play with his head and also both his feet, he knows how to move to the right and the left.”



Salah played in Italy for more than two years with Fiorentina and AS Roma. Maradona believed that “he learned how to be professional in football from his time Italy; this is the style of the Italian League.”

Salah is living his best days in the world of football. He featured in 13 matches with Liverpool scoring eight goals and provided three assists in all the competitions.

The 25-year-old also helped his national team to qualify to the 2018 World Cup after he scored two goals in the historic match against Congo on October 8.

Maradona mentioned the Egyptian national team`s achievement and said “I hope the Egyptian team enjoy playing in the World Cup, qualifying to World Cup is the dream of every country. Egypt has a great team.”
