CAIRO – 15 October 2017: Egypt’s national team manager Hector Cuper asked for three friendly matches in the first three months of 2018.

“We will try to arrange friendly games in this period to give players the chance to prove themselves,” Egypt’s national team director Ehab Lehita told the radio program the Goal.

Lehita added; “We will have 25 days to prepare before the World Cup and we will have many matches in this period but everything depends on our draw in the World Cup.”

On the other hand, Egypt’s national team decided to travel to Ghana on November 10 for the last game in the group which will be a good opportunity for many players.

Egypt defeated Congo 2-1 on Sunday, October 8, to secure their qualification to the World Cup for the first time in 28 years. Egypt last played in the World Cup in 1990 in Italy.
