CAIRO – 14 October 2017: Real Madrid won 2-1 against Getafe in the 8th round of the Spanish League. Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo led the Spanish giants to follow Barcelona in their journey to decrease the 7-point gap. Isco, with a brilliant pass to Ronaldo, scored Madrid`s winning goal.

The Spanish giants kept breaking records, as they set a La Liga record by achieving 13 successive victories. Also, Zidane coached his 100th match with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid is still suffering from the injuries in this season. The injuries of Carvajal, Marcelo and Theo have forced Nacho to play on the left side.

Zidane has been forced to debut Achraf Hakimi, a young player who recently joined the first team. For that reason, according to reports, the French coach might put Bayern Munich`s left back, David Alaba, under the spotlight.

His ability to play on the side, center, and even in the middle makes him one of the perfect defenders on the scene.

Nevertheless, despite the injuries of the two sides of the first squad, the fact is that Zidane already has the position very well covered with Theo and Marcelo. Even so, the incorporation of Alaba would add a plus to the rear of the team chaired by Florentino Perez.

The continued annoyances of Raphael Varane and Vallejo are orphaning the center of the back-line and could require the signing of another center back that can also act on the left flank.

Real Madrid's interest in the Bayern player is not new. Real Madrid has been targeting Alaba during several market seasons.
