CAIRO – 14 October 2017: The whole world has returned to the praise of Lionel Messi this week, after the memorable performance of the number '10' of the Argentinean side which helped them qualify to 2018 World Cup against Ecuador.

The former footballer, Luis Figo, preferred to praise Messi’s performance and, in an interview with Cadena Cope, he commented that, "Messi is no longer surprising. We have become accustomed to this performance game after a game. The football fans did not doubt that Argentina will qualify to World Cup."

For his part, the Portuguese has just been appointed as personal adviser to UEFA
President Alexander Ceferin. "I will advise Ceferin on everything related to football:
technical aspects, laws of the game and evolution of the rules," he explained.

Figo was positioned on the use of technology in football when he opined that "if you do not stop the game too much, it is important that technology advances with football and eliminates mistakes."
