CAIRO – 13 October 2017: Liverpool’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah returned to Liverpool after leading Egypt to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

“It was a great, great feeling to help my country qualify to the World Cup after a long time, that’s something huge for us. I am very happy and very proud of it.” Salah told Liverpool’s official website.

Salah scored twice in Egypt’s 2-1 victory over Congo,securing Egypt’s qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia after 28 years of absence.

Salah spoke about Liverpool’s upcoming clash against Manchester United on Saturday, saying “it’s a big game on Saturday, everyone in the world will watch the game. It’s a big game for us too because we have to keep fighting and improve our results.”

Salah added “We always fight in each game, but this game is a big game and can make a difference for us. We have to improve our place in the table. We have to fight and try to win the game.”

Salah scored four goals with Liverpool in the Premier League that helped the club reach seventh place with 12 points after seven fixtures.
