CAIRO – 11 October 2017: Most football talents in Egypt are honored after they retire and finish their job. This is due to the perception that African players have been somewhat late to the party in terms of making an impact on the global stage.

One of these talents is Ahmed Fathy, the Egyptian Al Ahly defender.

Ahmed Fathy has won every possible title with his club and the national team. However, he had a dream that he only recently achieved – qualifying with the Egyptian national team to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Egypt Today lists Fathy`s achievements in his career. Fathy has earned every local and African title, but he crowned his career by qualifying to the World Cup. “The Joker” (Fathy`s nickname) achieved 21 titles as follows:
