CAIRO – 7 October 2017: Uganda national team manager Moses Basena revealed on Friday that Uganda’s team is ready to beat Ghana in their game at the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.

“We have prepared well for the match and the morale is high ahead of the match. There are no injuries and the players are all set for action,” Basena told press in a pre-match press conference.

Uganda hosts Ghana on Saturday for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Uganda has to win the game to keep their chances of qualifying to the group.

Uganda defender Savio Kabugo shared the same feelings as his coach, telling press, “We are mentally and physically ready. This is the opportunity we have to prove that we are good enough to make the World Cup grade.”

Egyptian fans will follow the game because the game’s result will affect Egypt’s clash against Congo on Sunday.

Egypt tops Group E with nine points, two points more than Uganda. Ghana sits at third place in the group with five points, while Congo sits at the bottom of the pool with one point.
