CAIRO – 6 October 2017: Real Madrid is worried about the recovery of right-back defender, Dani Carvajal. The state of the player and the period he will need to be able to play again is not confirmed.

Carvajal was down since last Saturday after being diagnosed with ‘pericarditis’ caused by a virus, according to the medical part offered by the club, which does not set a specific period of recovery.

It seems that the period of absence will extend more and Zinedine Zidane will have to look for alternatives to cover the demarcation of Carvajal. One of those that would handle is Achraf Hakimi. Achraf featured against Espanyol in the previous round in La Liga. The Morocco International is the first Arabian player to start a match for Real Madrid.

The period in which the inflammation of the ‘pericardium’, the membrane lining the heart, completely changes depending on the patient and his reaction to the treatment varies from weeks to months.

Real Madrid handles a forecast that Carvajal will be absent for between three and four weeks, but once he receives medical discharge, he must carry out a set-up period to recover the physical tone since doctors have ordered him to rest completely.
